We recently launched the public beta of Devblog, a new, faster and hassle-free way of blogging for developers. More than 950 bloggers have unlocked their blog and ~55% of them have started using it actively. Our team is super pumped by the initial response and we are working hard to roll out new and most requested features every day.

In case you don't know, Devblog has a Google Page Speed score of >90 and supports AMP out of the box. ๐ŸŽ‰

How follow works?

Every Devblog has a big fat follow button on their homepage. We have been asked how it works and how it will impact the readership. Well, here I am to demystify the logic.

Following an author:

  • will keep you notified of their new posts when they get published
  • will show their new and popular posts on your feed

So, in a way, you will be personalizing your Hashnode experience by following authors you like.

Here's how the notification looks like:

Always remember to follow the author of a good blog post. It helps them in two important ways: an increase in readership and motivation to write better articles. ๐Ÿบ
